This is the make-up for the group 70th birthday party that some of us got all excited about at the 50th reunion, because we had so much fun there we wanted to get back together and party some more. 2020 didn't go along with that, but we still want to show it who's boss and have fun despite our challenges. So come on down to the San Diego area for a mini vacation and join us for an evening of extended WHS fun! I'm sure we all want to talk to the people we missed at the reunion and see the ones we spent time with again and this is our chance, so use this as your excuse to get out of the house and come see some old friends!

Hi Glen -- I wasn't able to make it to the 71 party, but have been looking on this website to see comments, and to find out how it went. Is there a 'place' to click on, here, where you guys can share the events of that night?

Hi Joyce!
I can't report on it yet because it happens next month. ;-) So there's still time for you (and others!) to join us! :-)

So far it looks like we'll have a good group of folks there, and if it's like the reunion, there may be a flurry of late sign-ups. Also, Ed and Laurie Doerr's place is pretty awesome and they're just finishing up some remodeling so it will be an even nicer spot for the party. And they have a pool, so who knows what shenanigans may occur?

I am providing the sound system, so there will be a mic and hookups for instruments in case anyone wants to play or sing a song or two, and I'm currently putting together (and learning new technology for playing) a set list of all the great music we grew up with through the decades [60s-80s +] to serve as our soundtrack for the evening. Send suggestions if you want to hear anything in particular, I know we've all got different taste in such things!

I'm trying to find someplace where I can perform a small set of my music for the night before, in case anyone is interested, maybe even in my back yard in Oceanside, a neighbor city of San Marcos, where the party will be. We have an small annual backyard festival there every year, complete with stage, but no stage diving, as the ground is eight feet below the stage!

Oh yeah, there's also a Class of '68 Facebook page that I manage where I post info more regularly if you want to be more active with classmates. There are currently 39 classmates who have joined.
