Marilyn died this summer after a ten year battle with cancer. During that time, she remained grounded in her life and her family. She loved mentoring high school students as they wrote their college entrance essays. She did many things professionally in her field of English, but she will be remembered for her endless enthusiasm for life and those she loved. She remained close to her high school friends and was even planning a get-together this fall. Although she had been ill for many years, her death was sudden and has left a huge hole in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
